The remaining members of Linkin Park will hit the stage for the first time since the passing of friend and band-mate Chester Bennington, who tragically took his own life in July of this year. The band announced the “Linkin Park & Friends – Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington” concert earlier this week, which takes place October 27 at the Hollywood Bowl. A number of bands and musicians took to Twitter yesterday to express their great honor and excitement to fans about being a part of this very special show.

From Avenged Sevenfold, lead vocalist M. Shadows and lead guitarist Synyster Gates will perform, as well as three of five members of System of a Down- Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian, and John Dolmayan. The lead vocalists of Korn- Jonathan Davis, Bring Me the Horizon- Oliver Sykes, and Yellowcard- William Ryan Key, are all on board. Blink-182 announced they would be joining the show, as did rapper Machine Gun Kelly and singer Kiiara, who recently collaborated with Linkin Park for Heavy, a track on their latest album One More Light.

Linkin Park calls the event “an unforgettable night of music to honor the man that touched the lives of so many around the world”. All proceeds will go to Music For Relief’s One More Light Fund in memory of Chester, which “will honor his generous spirit and his desire to help others”. Music For Relief was founded by the band in 2004 in response to the Indian Ocean tsunami as a way to help the victims of natural disasters as well as shed light on the lasting effects of climate change.
