After launching their Long Road out of Eden Tour in April, the Eagles have announced plans to make the road even longer. The classic rock chart-toppers will soar through November with a new 10-date run.
The additional stretch of shows will kick off November 8 at Qwest Center in Omaha, NE, and continue through a November 26 concert at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. The trek will take the Eagles across the Midwest and up the East Coast. At least one more show will be added to the itinerary, since the Eagles were forced to postpone a September 11 concert in Houston due to Hurricane Ike.
Public onsales for most new dates will begin on September 29. Tickets for the DCU Center performance and a November 11 show at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK, are already available with VIP Package options also offered.
The current leg of the tour continues with a September 24-25 run at the United Center in Chicago, IL. From there, the band will perform a September 29 gig at the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI, before wrapping on September 30 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN.
The band will take the month of October off before returning to the tour circuit for November’s shows. However, during the down-time, Don Henley is scheduled to make a solo appearance on October 25 to benefit the Cass County Courthouse Restoration Project in Linden, TX. According to the Eagles’ official Web site, the face value for tickets is priced at $1,000 (partially tax deductible), with only 420 tickets available.
The Eagles tour supports the band’s 2007 double album “The Long Road out of Eden,” which topped the charts in more than 10 countries around the globe, and has been RIAA-certified as seven-time Platinum in the U.S.
