Online self-service ticketing platform Eventbrite has announced their partnership with Disco Donnie Presents, an emerging entertainment brand specializing in the production of over 1,000 electronic dance music (EDM) club events, arena shows, and outdoor festivals each year. Fans will now be able to use Eventbrite’s platform to easily purchase tickets for EDM events across the nation without having to pay the high fees associated with most other search engines.

Vanessa Hope Schneider, senior public relations manager of Eventbrite, told TicketNews that the partnership with Disco Donnie Presents was a logical move for the company. “EDM shows are the perfect fit for Eventbrite because of their size, and the fans who rally around this music,” Schneider told TicketNews. “Supporting communities of people who gather around a passion is intrinsic to our product and our philosophy.”

Founded by Donnie Estopinal, one of the first EDM promoters in the industry and a pioneer in event production, Disco Donnie Presents already has several events posted on Eventbrite’s platform including Labor Day weekend festivals in El Paso and South Padre Island, Texas featuring David Guetta, Above & Beyond, Knife Party, Armin Van Buuren, Kaskade, and Flux Pavillion. Other featured Disco Donnie Presents events on Eventbrite’s website include the Pretty Lights: Illumination Tour in New Orleans and Kaskade’s Freaks of Nature Tour in San Antonio.

According to their press release, this year Disco Donnie Presents EDM events are expected to reach over 1 million fans and according to Schneider, “Donnie puts the fan experience above else.” She told TicketNews that, “by working with Eventbrite, [Donnie will] be able to offer fans low fees and a seamless experience when attending a show.”

The news of the partnership follows Eventbrite’s announcement of having reached $1 billion in ticket sales on their platform due to the success of the event organizers who use the self-service ticketing platform to reach ticketbuyers. The company has also been busy expanding their services to other countries — according to Schneider, Eventbrite has recently launched localized sites in Germany and the Netherlands in addition to their already established sites in the UK, Ireland, Spain, and France.

The platform has also updated their mobile app with search and discovery features so that consumers can find events on the go, Schneider told TicketNews. The app already offers users a map and directions to the event, a list of all of their events and ticket purchases, and a paperless ticket option that lets the user simply have their ticket scanned from their mobile device.

With their partnership with Disco Donnie Presents, even more live event fans will be able to enjoy the simplicity that comes with purchasing tickets using Eventbrite.

“As the reach of EDM broadens, and more and more people become involved in the community we’re building around this music, a partnership with Eventbrite was a natural next step,” said Estopinal in a recent press release announcing the partnership. “We want to be able to offer people the best ticket purchase experience possible, and working with Eventbrite will enable us to do that.”
