Owned by influential music and live entertainment impresario Irving Azoff, Front Line Management is arguable the world’s most powerful musical artist management company, counting such acts as Jimmy Buffett, Aerosmith, Neil Diamond, The Eagles, Seal and Christina Aguilera among its performers under contract.

The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and in the fall of 2008, it was acquired by Ticketmaster and the subsequent company became known as Ticketmaster Entertainment. Azoff was named the CEO of the newly formed company, which led to the eventual removal of former Ticketmaster President and CEO Sean Moriarty from the company.

Because of the company’s dominance in music management, Front Line is a controversial component in the proposed merger of Ticketmaster and Live Nation, because critics believe it will steer its artists to play, or not to play, in certain venues. Azoff and the company deny the assertion.

Front Line, now considered a subsidiary of Ticketmaster Entertainment, acquired Country Music management company Dale Morris & Associates in May 2009.
