Veteran comedian George Wallace, known for his timely and often provocative routines, will be the special guest performer at Ticket Summit 2008, the largest trade show and convention covering the secondary ticket market, held July 23-25 at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.

Wallace, who has become a fixture in Las Vegas and boasts one of the more popular shows on the Strip, is an American Comedy Award winner for “Best Stand Up Comedian,” and has appeared on countless television shows, including “Scrubs,” “Seinfeld,” “Oprah,” “The Tonight Show,” and the “Late Show with David Letterman.”

Among Wallace’s best-known routines are his “Yo Mama” and “I Be Thinkin'” jokes. He has also appeared in several movies, including “Lady Killers” and “Batman Forever.”

“Providing attendees with a taste of the creative and artistic side of the ticket industry is just as important as filling our exhibition hall and panel sessions,” said Crystal Astrachan, assistant executive director of Ticket Summit 2008 and publisher of TicketNews. “Ticket Summit exists because live entertainment, the core of our business, flourishes. If it were not for the talent of performers such as George Wallace, we would not have the stimulating careers we have today.”
