Bon Jovi is about to embark on their 2013 tour Because We Can. It will kick off on February 13 in Montreal, QC. Following several performances in Canada, the band will continue the tour overseas in South Africa and Europe.

At this time, Bon Jovi has announced eight performance dates for the Canadian leg of their tour, wrapping up in Winnipeg, MB at the MTS Centre April 5. It is expected the tour will include dates in Latin America, Australia, and the U.S. Dates have yet to be announced for several anticipated stops on the tour.

The first overseas Because We Can tour date has Bon Jovi performing in Cape Town, South Africa at the Cape Town Stadium. Following a performance at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, the band will begin several European tour dates with a stop in Sofia, Bulgaria at the Levski Stadium. Other European dates are scheduled for Germany, Poland, Ireland, Scotland, Czech Republic, Italy, and more.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bon Jovi’s previous tour in 2011, Circle, earned $365 million dollars. The tour before that, “Lost Highway,” was a world-wide tour for Bon Jovi, during which they played sold out shows in South America, Japan and Australia. This tour earned Bon Jovi $210 million dollars.

Backstage Jon Bon Jovi Presale Tickets, Travel Packages, and Exclusive VIP Packages went on sale on October 26. The first Backstage VIP Package, the “It’s My Life” Package, is solely for the front row seats in the Exclusive Circle Pit section, according to Bon Jovi’s official website. The “Heart and Dagger” Package is designated for rows two through five of the Exclusive section. According to the band’s official website, the “It’s My Life” Package will include two tickets for reserved seats in the front row, a backstage tour, admittance to the Bon Jovi mobile museum, and two of each piece of merchandising being sold at the show. The “Heat and Dagger” Package is similar to the “It’s My Life” Package except it includes only one ticket.

There is also a VIP package for outside of the Exclusive Circle Pit called the “Crossroads” Package. In addition to one reserved ticket, “Crossroads” packages include admittance to the Backstage JBJ VIP party, as well as Bon Jovi’s mobile museum.

In addition to their upcoming tour, Bon Jovi will also release their latest album, titled What About Now,” next spring. Songs from this latest album will be featured on their tour, in addition to favorites including “Bad Medicine” and “Living On A Prayer”, according to Pollstar.

Since 2000, the New Jersey natives have played shows worldwide at over 500 different stadiums. Additionally, they have earned nearly $1 billion resulting from the sale of 13 million tickets. Their success on tour can be compared to the Rolling Stones and Grateful Dead in that in both 2008 and 2010 they were able to finish as the “highest grossing tour of the year” on the Billboard charts.

Bon Jovi are expected to release the dates for the U.S. leg of their tour within the next couple of weeks, along with tour dates in countries such as Australia, Europe, and Latin America. Bon Jovi’s official website contains additional information.
