Later today, the Ticket Summit conference and trade show is expected to announce its initial lineup of speakers for the 2007 event, being held July 17-19 at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.
In an interview, Stephen Kobelski, Executive Director of Ticket Summit, revealed that some of last year’s top speakers will be making repeat appearances, in addition to many newcomers. Ebay’s Director of Ticketing, Greg Bettinelli, will once again be a headline panelist, along with TicketNetwork Vice Presidents Jeff Scheman and Nick Eve, and ControlScan President Aaron Biddar.
New members of this year’s interactive forums and expert panels include: Gretchen Shugart, CEO of Theatermania; Robert Tuchman, CEO of TSE Sports and Entertainment; Jim McCarthy, CEO of Gold Star Events; Eric Johnson, EVP at Wolfgang’s Vault; John Whelan, VP of Customer Service at StubHub; Viveca Woods, Principal of VMW Public Relations; Jack Christin, Senior Counsel at Ebay; and Jason Gastwirth, Director of Entertainment at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. Additional panelists will be announced soon.
“I am extremely excited about this year’s show,” said Mr. Kobelski. “We are expecting to have a sensational event, with attendance surpassing 1,000 people – more than triple what we had last year. The event will be bigger and better in virtually every way, with more workshops, more networking opportunities, more exhibitors, and more entertainment.”
