Some people say that American Idol has jumped the shark, but this week’s Overall Top 10s suggests that the show still has a strong following. This summer’s American Idols Live! tour debuts in the number two spot in the overall rankings and goes straight to number one on the Top Concerts chart.
As the gap widens between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees on the American League East leader board, a similar gap appears between the two teams in ticket sales. Last week the Red Sox appeared at number two with the Yankees just below at number three. This week American Idols Live! bumps the Sox down to number three, but the Yankees take a dive to number seven.

With the Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns, and Chicago Bulls out of the NBA playoffs, Major League Baseball fills in the holes in the Top Sports chart. MLB takes eight of the ten top spots this week including the first four rankings and the last four.
Between the baseball bookends, an explosion of Ultimate Fighting Championship sales puts the mixed martial arts event at number five.

This week sees a large turnover of concert events. American Idols Live! debuts in the number one spot, Roger Waters returns to the chart in the number six position, the Projekt Revolution Tour with Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance takes number seven, and Michael Bublé claims number eight.
