The New York Post is reporting on a possible shutdown this fall as producers are battling with stagehands over union contract details.

The stagehands are currently working sans contract and, according to the Post, are unlikely to go on strike until the busy fall season comes when it will likely hit producers hardest. . .

Both producers and stagehands are said to be bulking up their warchests to enable them to outlast the other if there is any strike. Negotiations so far have been “difficult” and are expected to get “uglier”.
