Guitarist’s chicken pox spoiled Tuesday’s show, but a Sept. 4 makeup date is already set.

The sky-blue skies anticipated for Tuesday’s Wilco performance in Duluth have turned gray, after the band postponed the show due to guitarist Nels Cline’s bout with chicken pox. . .

A makeup date has already been set for Sept. 4 at the same location, Bayfront Festival Park. Refunds will be given to fans who can’t make the new gig.

“[Cline] is slowly on the mend but not quite there yet,” Wilco posted on its website, WilcoWorld.net, leaving out the “gruesome details” that Cline had passed along. The posting says the group will also likely have to postpone its show Wednesday in Winnipeg.
