Grammy-winning R&B/pop music singer Kelly Rowland, a co-founder of Destiny’s Child, will launch a 16-date North American concert tour beginning Oct. 28 in Seattle and ending with a three-night run at the Orleans Casino in Las Vegas on Dec. 1. Emerging American R&B singer Mario will open for her at select venues.
The tour will showcase Rowland performing songs from her two best-selling solo albums – “Simply Deep” and “Ms. Kelly” — as well as from the Destiny’s Child repertoire and more. Rowland’s fall tour marks her first set of U.S. concert dates since Destiny Child’s “Destiny Fulfilled … And Lovin’ It” farewell tour in 2005.
Released in June of this year, “Ms. Kelly” entered the Billboard Top 200 at #6, giving Rowland her first Top 10 album as a solo artist, and debuted on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart at #2. Rowland’s previous album “Simply Deep” sold more than 2 million copies worldwide.
