The Cold War Kids were supposed to support the White Stripes during the Stripes’September and October tour, but when the Stripes canceled, the Kids were left without a tour. Cold War Kids have now booked 12 American concerts starting this week in Portland, OR and continuing to Dec. 11 in Boulder, CO. Singer/songwriter Richard Swift, indie-rock band We Barbarians, and British pop-rockers The Rumble Strips will support on select dates.

The Southern California quartet has been touring since the beginning of the year to support their 2006 debut, “Robbers and Cowards,” which broke into The Billboard 200 and reached No. 15 on the Top Independent Albums chart. Previously, they self-released three EPs — “Mulberry Street,” “Up in Rags” and “With Our Wallets Full.”
