Cirque Du Soleil and Trans-Siberian Orchestra jumped into the overall Top 10 this week, as Holiday shows begin their march on the rankings. Look for several Holiday-themed shows to creep into the rankings in the coming weeks.

With baseball finally over for 2007 (now talk turns to where A-Rod or Johan Santana might end up), pro football takes over the dominant spots on the Top 10, joined by a couple of big events for 2008, the Beijing Olympics and the Daytona 500.

The theater scene remains under the spell of Wicked overall, though in New York, the annual Holiday extravaganza at Radio City Musical Hall is tops. Young Frankenstein, Mel Brooks’ latest musical based on one of his movies, remains strong, as does the Disney family favorite The Lion King. The Little Mermaid, which began previews last week, also posted a solid showing.

We have a Dr. Seuss sighting: How the Grinch Stole Christmas enters the Broadway Top 10s this week for the first time this year.

There was little change in the Top 5, just a flip in spots between veteran rockers Bruce Springsteen and Van Halen. Neil Young returned to the chart, but comedian Dane Cook, who seems to have been in every other movie released this year, continued his quest to be the true king of all media and entered the Top 10 this week, as did the princes of darkness Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie.
