Produced by Grammy Award-winning musician and producer Malcom Burn (Emmylou Harris, Peter Gabriel), it follows 2006’s critically-acclaimed “…Until We Felt Red,” which found King branching out with songs that featured electric and pedal-steel guitar, horns, and, for the first time, vocals.

King recorded two tracks for last year’s Warner Bros. film “August Rush, ” in which she appeared as a guitar-playing hand double. She was then drafted by Sean Penn to compose original music for several scenes in his acclaimed film “Into the Wild,” which also features two of King’s previously released songs. The score went onto receive a coveted Golden Globe Nomination. King also has a fan in Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, who asked her to duet with him on “Ballad of The Beaconsfield Miners” from the Foos’ current album, “Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.”
