Mike Doughty’s Band will embark on a six week North American headlining tour starting March 12 in Northampton, MA. The tour wraps up on April 30 in Los Angeles and is the second leg the trek he launched this past fall in support of his latest album “Golden Delicious” (ATO Records).

Led by Doughty on vocals and guitars, the band also includes John Kirby (Black Eyed Peas) on keyboards, Pete McNeal (Cake, Jem, Gary Jules) on drums and Andrew “Scrap” Livingston on bass. During the fall leg, Doughty entertained audiences by taking questions.

The first single from the album, “27 Jennifers,” is currently in the top 10 at AAA radio, according to MediaBase. Doughty, who used to front the band Soul Coughing, has also begun a DJ side project under the stage name Mike Dough, composing electronic dance music and performing at clubs in New York and elsewhere. The next Mike Dough show will be at the Knitting Factory in New York on Feb. 22.
