Piano man Joel’s July 3 show at the Mohegan Sun Arena goes on sale Saturday morning. The Dave Matthews Band, which every year is among the top concert draws, has a show in Berkeley on sale Saturday as well. The rest of the popular band’s tour will go on sale March 29.
Grammy winning singer Erykah Badu has multiple dates on sale this weekend, as does alternative rocker (and former Mr. Pamela Anderson) Kid Rock. Former Beatle Ringo Starr and Stevie Nicks each have concert dates in Boston on sale. Rounding out the music scene for the weekend is a joint concert between Chicago and the Doobie Brothers, which has numerous dates on sale this weekend.
Canadian comedy group Kids in the Hall has multiple dates of their comedy tour on sale this weekend, including stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle. In addition, Friar’s Club Roast regular Lisa Lampinelli has a stand-up show at Radio City Music Hall on sale this weekend.
Perennial hockey powerhouse the Detroit Red Wings have playoff tickets going on sale today, March 21. For the “sports entertainment” fan, WWE tickets to Wrestlemania Revenge, to be held in Ontario, are on sale Saturday morning.
Several Tony winning musicals have tickets on sale this weekend as well. The national tour of Avenue Q, the 2004 Tony winner for Best Musical, makes a stop in Louisville, with tickets for the engagement going on sale this weekend. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’s tour stop in Norfolk, VA has tickets on sale Sunday, along with the tour of Sweeney Todd, which has a stop in Atlanta on sale. Finally, the classic Broadway musical My Fair Lady’s national tour has tickets on sale for its stop in Seattle.
