Scottish-born, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter KT Tunstall launches her first full U.S. tour this spring in support of her latest album “Drastic Fantastic.” Opening the shows will be singer-songwriter Paddy Casey.

The 20-date, 18-city tour begins May 3 in San Diego, CA, and ends with a two-night engagement May 28-29 at NewYork’s Town Hall. Tickets go on sale March
7 in some markets and continue through the next few weeks.

While Tunstall performs on acoustic guitar, the rest of the band will perform various other unplugged acoustic instruments, including double bass, harmonium and mandolin for a repertoire of songs taken from the latest album and from her best-selling 2006 debut “Eye to the Telescope.”

“The shows will be what we’ve nicknamed ‘the campfire set’ after the outdoor recordings we did for the ‘Drastic Fantastic’ DVD,” she explained in a statement. “We wanted to try something a little different this time around and I think performing everything on acoustic instruments will afford these gigs a great vibe and give people a chance to see us play in a more intimate setting. We’ll have some different arrangements, new versions of older songs, but don’t worry, it’s still going to rock!”
