Grateful Dead drummer/percussionist Mickey Hart has set up a 20-city summer tour beginning July 3 in Rothbury, MI and winding down on July 24 in Detroit Lakes, MN. He also has two separate, standalone gigs on May 15 and June 6 before hitting the road. The tour, which includes many festivals, comes on the heels of a recently released Mickey Hart collection by Shout! Factory, which are available as digital downloads for the first time.

Like other members of the Dead, Hart embarked on a solo career when the band was on hiatus. He will tour under the moniker The Mickey Hart Band, which will feature guitarist Steve Kimock, bassist George Porter Jr., vocalist Jen Durkin and talking drum master Sikiru Adepoju.

The shows will feature the Robert Hunter penned songs debuted by Hart’s Rhythm Devils in 2006, including “Fountains of Wood,” “The Center” and “Your House” in addition to Dead staples such as “New Speedway Boogie” and “Fire on The Mountain.”
