Concerts from Neil Diamond and Santana top the onsales for the week ending May 3rd, as compiled by TicketNews.
Music legend Diamond’s 2008 U.S. tour has multiple dates on sale throughout the week, including stops in Boston, New York City, and Chicago. Guitar genius Carlos Santana has a show in Los Angeles on sale this week. The week also boasts concerts sales from Stevie Nicks, Jimmy Buffet, Sheryl Crow, and additional dates for John Mellencamp’s national tour.
Country fans will be happy to know that several high profile artists have concerts on sale throughout the week. Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Willie Nelson and Brooks and Dunn all have tour stops available throughout the week. Even country legend Dolly Parton has performances in Atlanta and Berkley, CA on sale this week.
Basketball fans should take note that the New Orleans Hornets have tickets for the second round of the NBA playoffs currently on sale. And, also boasting a national tour is the live stage show featuring the Backyardigans. The popular Nick Jr. cartoon characters will be stopping by Boston’s Colonial Theater as well as Madison Square Garden.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
