Eagles Select Ticketmaster as Team-Authorized Ticket Resale Provider
Ticketmaster TicketExchange Provides Eagles Fans with Online Access to Purchase and Resell Tickets
PHILADELPHIA, and WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (PRNewswire) April 15, 2008 — The Philadelphia Eagles have selected TicketExchange by Ticketmaster as the team’s authorized ticket resale service. Season ticket holders will be able to use Eagles TicketExchange to post tickets for resale to other fans. This convenient and safe service will enable fans to find valid tickets for Eagles home games.
“We chose TicketExchange in response to demand from our fans and season ticketholders for a safe and convenient way to buy or resell Eagles tickets,” said Mark Donovan, Senior Vice President of Business Operations for the Eagles. “TicketExchange will give fans more opportunities to secure hard-to-get tickets to Eagles games at Lincoln Financial Field.”
Ticketmaster, the world’s leading live entertainment ticketing and marketing company, will also continue to serve as the team’s authorized ticketing company for initial single game ticket sales for home games at Lincoln Financial Field.
“We want to connect Eagles fans with their team in a way that is convenient, safe and enjoyable,” said Tom McGlone, General Manager, Ticketmaster Delaware Valley. “We will work with the Eagles and Lincoln Financial Field to create the best possible ticket marketplace that will give more Eagles fans access to their team.”
Here’s how TicketExchange works: Season Ticket holders can visit Eagles
TicketExchange and post their tickets for sale to other Eagles fans. Fans looking for tickets may visit TicketExchange through PhiladelphiaEagles.com, or the TicketExchange section of Ticketmaster.com, to peruse and purchase tickets for Eagles’ home games, or to obtain what they deem to be a more favorable seat location.
The TicketExchange transaction is entirely automated and processed by Ticketmaster, the trusted brand for event ticketing. Eagles fans who purchase tickets through TicketExchange receive a ticket with a unique barcode identifying the buyer as the new owner of that ticket. Fans who purchase tickets via TicketExchange may select to have their tickets delivered electronically via TicketFast(R), Ticketmaster’s online delivery service.
