Cinderella’s co-headlining tour with Warrant has been postponed due to Cinderella frontman Tom Keifer’s left vocal cord hemorrhaging, according to a post on the band’s website. Cinderella, Warrant, Lynch Mob and Lynam were scheduled for a national tour July 2 until August 16.

“It’s with unbelievably deep regret that I must announce that Cinderella’s Tom Keifer’s left vocal cord has hemorrhaged, thereby making it impossible for him to sing in the immediate future,” said band manager Tim Heyne in a statement.

Refunds are available at point of purchase.

Keifer felt his throat give way on June 11 after finishing the band’s set in pre-production rehearsals. He went to his vocal doctor, Dr. Stephen Mitchell, in Nashville, TN and was told the grim news. In the short term, his doctor told him it would be two to three weeks before the swelling and damage would recede to a point to where an assessment can be made as to whether surgery will be required.

At press time, Warrant’s representative had no word about whether the band’s immediate touring plans would change.
