Indie rock band Rookie of the Year will be hitting the road again this fall to support the release of their new album with a major North American tour starting on October 14 in Ponoma, CA and concluding on November 20 in Los Angeles, CA. Mest will accompany Rookie of the Year on tour.
The 23-date trek criss-crosses the country as the band plays various clubs and theaters. The quintet out of Fayetteville, NC, will be supporting their sophomore album, “Sweet Attention,” that landed them the No. 9 spot on the Billboard Alternative New Artist Chart and the No. 21 spot on the Heatseeker Chart.
With major national tours with Secondhand Serenade, Cute is What We Aim For and The Spill Canvas under their belts, as well as their video for “Liars and Battlelines” seeing heavy rotation on MTVU, Rookie of the Year is gaining wider acceptance. Tracks from their debut LP, “The Goodnight Moon,” were placed on MTV teen reality shows “The Hills” and “Newport Harbour.”
