LONDON, ENG (Seatwave) 28 August 2008 – Seatwave, Europe’s largest fan-to-fan ticket exchange, today announced two landmark partnerships with Fulham FC and Portsmouth FC, securing exclusive rights to act as the official ticket exchange partner for both clubs.

Marking Seatwave’s first venture into football, the deal will give the company exclusive rights to operate the official ticket exchanges for Fulham and Portsmouth club members, allowing season ticket holders to sell tickets for certain matches they cannot attend. Additionally, registered football club members, will be able to buy tickets from other fans.

The deals, which commence in September 2008, broaden Seatwave’s involvement within the sporting community, complementing its recently renewed partnership with London Irish Rugby Club. Seatwave will also be granted branding and promotional rights as an official sponsor, including advertisements in the official programmes and perimeter boards at games.

Seatwave continues to lead the way as Europe’s largest fan-to-fan ticket exchange. Seatwave allows fans to buy and sell tickets with confidence, providing the highest levels of consumer protection when buying tickets online. Now football club members can exchange tickets through a trusted site, reducing the incidence of illegal resale by touts.
