Oasis tops the tour news today, with more details surfacing regarding Sunday night’s on-stage attack of Noel Gallagher. Even after a brief hospital stay and rest, Live Nation announced that Gallagher will not be fit to take the stage for the band’s September 9 show. In other tour news: Herbie Hancock had to cancel his September 20 show at Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco, CA, due “to unforeseen circumstances.” … If you’re a Barbra Streisand fan and have a spare $2,500 lying around, the iconic singer is performing a benefit for Barack Obama on September 16. … Without any new details on the speculated Grateful Dead reunion tour, fans of the classic jam band can still get their fill of the Dead with the upcoming RatDog tour. … Country singer Wynonna will be back on the road this fall, including a stop at the Grand Ole Opry.

After a brief break from the road, Charlie Daniels Band is at it again this fall with another tour of North America. The next show on the band’s extensive 2008 itinerary is September 11 at Main Street Armory in Rochester, NY, with the tour scheduled to wrap December 19 at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort in Riverside, IA. The 30-date trek includes an October 7 gig at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. The Charlie Daniels Band will perform a two-night stand in Canada around the mid-point for this leg of their tour. The October 24-25 shows are scheduled for Casino Rama in Rama, ON.

Rockers Wolf Parade are going to be on the prowl this November with their newly announced 12-date trek of the U.S. The tour, supporting the band’s latest release, kicks off November 1 at Ashbury Hall in Buffalo, NY, and continues through November 14 at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ. The trek includes two stops in Missouri: November 7 at Blue Note in Columbia, and November 8 at Washington University’s Gargoyles in St. Louis.

Justin Nozuka is about to start his fall headlining run in support of his debut album, “Holly.” The Canadian singer-songwriter will travel from coast to coast, beginning September 18 at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, NY, and ending October 21 at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA. Highlights of the 21-date tour include a September 22 gig at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City and an October 15 gig at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, CA.

Rockers Franz Ferdinand have added seven new dates to their itinerary. The shows kick off November 13 at La Cigale in Paris, France, and wrap November 27 at Watt in Rotterdam, Netherland. The band also has performances scheduled in Berlin, Germany, and Milan, Italy, during November.

Shiny Toy Guns will be on the road soon for their fall tour. The 31-date engagement kicks off September 18 at the Rio Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV, and continues through October 27 at the Grog Shop in Cleveland, OH. Along the way, the band will make an October 4 stop at the LA Weekly Detour Music Festival in Los Angeles, CA. Most shows are all ages, with the exception of a few 18+ and 21+ club shows.
