Jay-Z, Broadway tickets on sale this week
Tickets for an upcoming concert by rap superstar Jay-Z as well as tickets for several national tour stops for some of Broadway’s most popular shows are on sale throughout the week ending September 6 as compiled by TicketNews.
This week’s onsales boasts several high profile concerts from popular recording artists. Rap star and entrepreneur Jay-Z has an upcoming stop at the newly renovated Hollywood Pavilion in the onsales for Friday. Also in the onsales for Friday are shows from pop rocker Gavin DeGraw, who also has a show in Hollywood on sale, a concert from rap-rocker Kid Rock in Florida, and a concert from old school rockers ZZ Top, who have multiple shows on sale including stops in Columbus and Minneapolis.
Rounding out the week’s top concert options are multiple shows from several of rock’s top artists. Staind has multiple concerts in the onsales for Saturday, including stops in New York City and Pennsylvania. Also on sale Saturday are tickets to upcoming shows from Nine Inch Nails, including stops in Jacksonville and Orlando, FL. Finally, the joint concert tour of Gym Class Heroes and The Roots have tickets on sale Saturday for their upcoming stop in San Jose, CA.
This week also boasts several national tour stops of several high profile Broadway musicals. The national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening has tickets on sale Friday for its upcoming stint in Seattle. Also in the onsales for Friday is a chance to catch the national tour of Chicago and the Monty Python based musical Spamalot’s tour stops in Boston.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
