Perennial boys of summer Dave Matthews Band (DMB) are among the groups closing their tours throughout the week ending September 15 as compiled by Ticket News.
Regular summer tour and festival favorites DMB, which suffered the loss of saxophonist LeRoi Moore this summer, will play its final show of the season on September 10 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, followed by several other major tour-closings over the weekend. At the top of the list, country crooner Kenny Chesney will wrap his headlining tour this week, though he has one more appearance on his itinerary — Farm Aid 2008 on September 20 in Mansfield, MA.
American Idol fans will also have a final chance to see some of their favorite stars from the reality TV program this week. Former finalist Chris Daughtry’s band Daughtry will hold its final concert of the season on September 13. Ending on the same day is the current American Idols Live! tour, which has a final stop in Tulsa, OK, before the franchise kicks off its holiday trek.
Closing this week’s Last Chance highlight is the September 14 charity concert headlined by Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers, with special guest Demi Lovato. The one-time Disney-sponsored event benefits the California-based cancer research center City of Hope.
