Pop singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake is just one of the acts closing out the season during the week ending October 20 as compiled by TicketNews.
On October 17, the heartthrob vocalist is performing a special benefit concert for the Shriners Hospitals for Children at the Planet Hollywood Resort Theatre. The one-off event features Timberlake along with 50 Cent, Boyz II Men, the Jonas Brothers, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Rihanna and more. The concert closes a week of charity golf at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, a collaboration between Timberlake and the PGA Tour.
This weekend also features the Saturday night fight between Bernard Hopkins and Kelly Pavlik. The non-title bout pits the former undisputed champ against the new middleweight champion at a catch-weight of 170 pounds.
In other ticketing news, Dolly Parton’s musical remake of her Hollywood classic “9 to 5” is ending its run at the Ahmanson Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. The stage musical, which began its residency the week of September 9, will wrap on October 19 after matinee and evening performances.
With the next race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series coming up, this week is the last chance to grab tickets to Sunday’s event at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, VA. The cars hit the pavement in the early afternoon on October 19 for the Tums 500 race.
