Even as they continue their roles supporting Carrie Underwood on tour, the singers in country music phenomenon Little Big Town have big plans of their own for the New Year. The acclaimed vocal quartet has unveiled plans for a 28-date winter and spring 2009 outing and filled in the remainder of the year with scattered event appearances.

The main block of tour dates kicks off January 25 at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, FL, and wraps April 3 with a performance at the recently opened Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA. The U.S. run includes shows on January 30 at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA, on February 18 at the Knitting Factory in Spokane, WA, on March 7 at Joe’s Sports Bar in Chicago, IL, and on March 19 at Northern Lights Theater in Milwaukee, WI.

The up-and-coming stars will continue on the road over the summer and into early fall with a series of special event appearances and scattered solo performances, beginning with an April 25 set at the third annual Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA.

Little Big Town has been touring behind the group’s third studio album, “A Place to Land,” which was released in 2007 and then reissued with bonus tracks in October. When it was first issued, the album hit No. 24 on the Billboard 200, No. 10 on the country albums charts and No. 3 on the independent charts.
