Tickets for the upcoming Baltimore Orioles 2008 baseball season as well as tickets for an upcoming concert from Dave Matthews Band are on sale throughout the week ending January 17 as compiled by TicketNews.
Starting off the week’s onsales are tickets to multiple concerts from classic rockers The Eagles. Tickets to the band’s shows in Chicago and Detroit are currently on sale. In the onsales for Friday are tickets to catch The Allman Brothers Band in New York City and Ani DiFranco in concert in Mobile, AL. Also on sale Friday are tickets for R&B superstar Ne-Yo’s concert in Oakland, CA.
The Dave Matthews Band is once again hitting the road. Tickets for several concerts, including stops in Nashville, New York, Las Vegas, and Phoenix are on sale both Friday and Saturday. Also in the onsales for Saturday are tickets to catch country stars Rascal Flatts in concert in Salt Lake City and Denver, as well as tickets for country giant Toby Keith’s stop in Green Bay.
Throughout the week there are several chances to snag tickets to upcoming high profile sporting events. First up, tickets to “Soxfest,” the annual fan event for the Chicago White Sox, are currently on sale. The event will be held at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. Speaking of baseball, tickets for the Baltimore Orioles 2008 home season go on sale Saturday morning.
Also in the onsales for Saturday are tickets to several upcoming WWE events, including stops in Boston and Connecticut, as the show gears up for its annual Wrestlemania event. Finally, soccer fans will want to take note that tickets for the Los Angeles Galaxy’s 2009 season are currently on sale. The soccer club is currently the home of internationally known English soccer star David Beckham.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
