After a year of heavy touring that won him industry accolades, the Boss is diving back in for another season on the road. Bruce Springsteen has unveiled initial plans for a European stadium tour in June and July.
The early summer jaunt is outlined with scattered dates from a June 2 concert at Ratinan Stadion in Tampere, Finland, through a July 23 concert at Stadio Friuli in Udine, Italy. Two-night stands are set for June 4-5 at Stockholm Stadion in Stockholm, Sweden, and June 9-10 at Bergenhus Festning in Bergen, Norway.
In all, only 10 cities are earmarked for the Boss’s latest tour, which will support his upcoming record “Working on a Dream.” The disc, a quick follow-up to 2007’s “Magic,” is scheduled to hit stores on January 27.
Dates for the expected North American tour have not yet been announced. However, fans can catch Springsteen & The E Street Band on stage during the Super Bowl XLIII halftime show on February 1 in Tampa, FL.
Springsteen & The E Street Band were awarded the Top Tour and Top Draw titles at the 2008 Billboard Touring Awards. The categories honor the top-grossing and top ticket-selling tours of the year.
