Following the success of overseas ticket sales, the operatic pop group Il Divo has expanded its U.S. tour plans, with new dates scheduled in May, June and July. … It’s been a busy day for members of art-rock band Animal Collective, who released a new studio album, began a brief U.S. concert run, and announced plans for extensive spring and summer tours today. … Patrons and performing acts at The Zipper Factory in New York City had a surprise when the venue unexpectedly closed after a January 13 event. No explanations have been offered, but theatrical sources speculated about landlord/tenant problems.

Kenny Loggins has announced plans for a late winter tour mainly booked for the West Coast. Currently set at 10 shows, the outing will pick up February 27 at Paradise Casino in Winterhaven, CA, and end April 2 at The Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, NY. Other dates are set for a March 5-7 run at Renee & Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, CA, a March 8 gig at Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, a pair of March 11-12 sets at Vilar Center for the Arts in Avon, CO, a March 13 performance at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, NV, and a March 14 concert at Aliante Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

Bob Dylan has added a couple more dates to his upcoming spring jaunt across Europe. The iconic American performer begins his 31-date trek on March 23 at Stockholm Globe Arena in Stockhold, Sweden, and wraps up with a two-night stand May 5-6 at The O2 in Dublin, Ireland. The recently confirmed shows are also packaged as a two-night stand on April 7-8 at Palais des Congres in Paris, France.

Kris Kristofferson has mapped a 13-date tour that will span the next two months. The North American outing will begin January 29 at Rosebug Theatre in Effingham, IL, and ends March 28 at Berklee Performance Center in Boston, MA. Highlights include a January 31 set at Hill Auditorium at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, a February 21 concert at The egg in Albany, NY, a February 28 gig at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue in Washington, DC, and March 26-27 shows at Casino Nova Scotia in Halifax, NS.

Street Dogs will hit the road for some solo dates and a round of co-bill shows with Swingin’ Utters this March. The punk rockers will go solo for seven shows from March 1 at Warehouse Live in Houston, TX, through March 8 at Le Casbah in Quebec City, QC. Afterwards, the Dogs have nine dates on the co-bill from March 10 at The Station in Portland, ME, through March 19 at Pop’s in Sauget, IL. One additional solo gig follows on March 20 at the Conservatory in Oklahoma City, OK. Other featured shows include a March 4 set at The Basement in Columbus, OH, a March 11 concert at Club Hell in Providence, RI, and a March 14 performance at Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park, NJ.
