A few major seasonal U.S. festivals, including Rothbury and Summerfest, are wrapping up over the holiday weekend concluding July 6, as compiled by TicketNews.

This year’s Rothbury Festival will be going down from July 2-5 at Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, MI. The four-day jam band extravaganza, now entering its second year, features headline performances from The Dead (making their only summer appearance), Bob Dylan and His Band, and The String Cheese Incident (making their only 2009 appearance), as well as top-billed sets from Willie Nelson, The Black Crowes and more.

The final week of Summerfest is upon us, with the 11-day festival winding down July 5 in Milwaukee, WI. The last six headline acts take the stage through the weekend at the city’s Marcus Amphitheatre, picking up tonight (June 30) with a double-header from classic rock greats Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire. The week’s other top acts are Bob Dylan & Willie Nelson (July 1), No Doubt (July 2), Kenny Chesney (July 3) and The Fray (July 4). Hard rocker-turned-country crossover Kid Rock closes out the annual festivities on July 5.

The summer festival season continues this week as the 15th annual Essence Music Festival hits the Superdome in New Orleans, LA, over the Independence Day weekend. Beyoncé is the weekend’s main headliner, kicking off the three-day event on July 3. Maxwell takes the main stage on July 4, followed by Frankie Beverly & Maze on July 5. Other main acts at the cultural and musical celebration include John Legend, Anita Baker, Lionel Richie, Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke, Al Green and more.

Hot sibling trio Jonas Brothers headline this year’s Stadium of Fire on July 4 at Brigham Young University’s Lavell Edwards Stadium in Provo, UT. Meanwhile, rock legends Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood perform their final scheduled concert together for the season this evening (June 30) at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. Finally, the summer may just be starting, but the touring season is ending (at least temporarily) for Bad Company, which has just three shows left in July. The band takes the stage with the Doobie Brothers on July 1 at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI, and July 2 at CMAC in Canandaigua, NY, before going solo for the closing show on July 4 at Resorts International in Atlantic City, NJ.

“Last Chance” information is compiled at the beginning of the week, based on touring acts whose current itineraries are closing over the course of that week. The availability of tickets for Last Chance events depends on primary and secondary seller inventory, and may vary as tickets are sold in the days leading up to each event.
