Last chance for U.S. Open Championship, Just For Laughs tickets

Ticket sales are winding down for major weekend events, including golf’s U.S. Open and the Just For Laughs festival in Chicago, during the week ending June 22, as compiled by TicketNews.

Competitors will tee off this week for the annual U.S. Open Golf Championship, held this year at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, NY. The four-round competition officially begins June 18 and continues through the final round on June 21. The course is open June 16-17 for practice rounds and reserved through June 22 in the event that any ties need to be broken by a complete 18-hole fifth round.

A Very Funny Festival: Just For Laughs, hosted by cable TV channel TBS, will hit venues across Chicago, IL, through the weekend. The five-day festival runs from June 17-21 and includes performances by Ellen DeGeneres, Mike Epps, David Alan Grier, Lisa Lampanelli and George Lopez, among the 100+ comedians scheduled to appear. The event is a joint collaboration between TBS and the Canada-based Just For Laughs festival.

Eclectic recording artist Santigold will bring her blend of New Wave and alt-rock to a couple more U.S. cities before wrapping her national tour. Her final headline performance is June 17 at the House of Blues in Houston, TX, which she’ll follow with a supporting set at KCRW’s World Festival on June 21 at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA.

R&B artist Keyshia Cole is concluding her late spring U.S. tour this weekend, with three more concerts on the books for June 18 at Nokia Theatre at the LA Live complex in Los Angeles, CA; June 19 at Humphrey’s Concerts By the Bay in San Diego, CA; and June 21 at Paramount Theatre in Oakland, CA. Rock singer-songwriter PJ Harvey and her tour partner John Parish are also performing at Humphrey’s Concerts By the Bay over the weekend. The duo wraps its national trek at the San Diego venue on June 21.

Popular funnymen Frank Caliendo and Bill Engvall will bring the laughs as they share the stage on June 19 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis, MO. The pair has appeared together before, though this is the only shared date booked for the comedians at this time. Both men have dozens of additional solo U.S. performances scheduled through the end of the year.
