Pittsburgh Steelers, Britney Spears tickets on sale this week
Tickets to catch upcoming concerts from Britney Spears as well as tickets for the Pittsburgh Steelers 2009 season are on sale throughout the week ending June 20 as compiled by Ticket News.
This week’s onsales begin today with tickets on sale for the upcoming 2009 NFL season. On sale this morning are tickets for the Philadelphia Eagles, while tickets go on sale Saturday morning for the upcoming home games for the defending champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Also on sale Saturday are tickets for the upcoming Vancouver Peace Summit. The meeting will be held in Vancouver, BC and will offer attendees a chance to see the Dalai Lama in person.
This week’s music onsales kick off with tickets to see re-energized pop star Britney Spears on additional tour dates. Among the new shows on sale Friday morning are stops in New York City and Boston. Also on sale Friday are tickets to see Jamie Foxx in concert in New Orleans and Orlando, as well as tickets for upcoming shows from James Taylor in Tucson and San Antonio. Rounding out the Friday onsales are tickets to catch pop star Taylor Swift in concert in Atlanta and Journey in concert in Greensboro, SC.
Saturday’s onsales start with tickets to see country stars Brad Paisley and Keith Urban live on stage. Paisley has shows in Dallas and California among the onsales while Urban has a concert in Little Rock on sale Saturday morning. Also on sale Saturday are tickets for an upcoming show from the Kings of Leon in Nashville, as well as shows from Tool in Cincinnati and New Hampshire.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
