Event ticketing for Paul Potts and the annual 10,000 Lakes Festival is winding down during the week ending July 27, as compiled by TicketNews.
Paul Potts concludes his brief summer tour of the U.S. this week with a final show booked for tonight, July 21, at Warner Theater in Washington, DC. The national outing began July 6 at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, TX, after Potts’ completion of other North American dates in Canada and Mexico. For the remainder of the year, the opera singer is scheduled for a full slate of shows across Europe and the UK.
The annual 10,000 Lakes Festival kicks off tomorrow, July 22, at Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, MN. The four-day music and camping festival includes headline sets from Dave Matthews Band and Wilco, as well as two days of headline performances from Widespread Panic. The festival wraps its 2009 venture with a late night fireworks display on July 25.
In other festival ticketing news, the third of five Canadian Virgin Festival events is set to take place July 25-26 at Deer Lake Park in Vancouver, BC. Headline sets will be supplied by The Roots, Our Lady Peace, Ben Harper & Relentless7, Metric and Sonic Youth. The next Virgin Festival of the year lands August 8-9 at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, AB, followed by the final event on August 29-30 at Burl’s Creek Park in Oro, ON.
In the states, the Gathering of the Vibes festival is running this week in Bridgeport, CT. Based at Seaside Park on July 23-26, the event will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock with performances by Crosby, Stills & Nash, Levon Helm and Bob Weir & RatDog, among others.
Veteran musician Gregg Allman is completing a concert run along the West Coast this week with a few final solo dates booked July 21-22 at the Independent in San Francisco, CA; July 24 at Harrah’s South Shore Showroom in Stateline, NV; and July 25 at Peppermill Concert Hall in West Wendover, NV. Rock quartet Thriving Ivory is also winding down its July concert schedule with five more shows from July 21 at Mohawk Place in Buffalo, NY, through July 26 at Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ.
Finally, Tim & Eric’s Awesome Show will stage its Awesome Mini Tour ’09 this week in California with appearances slated for July 24 at 4th & B in San Diego, July 25 at Awesomecon at Embarcadero Marina Park North in San Diego, and July 26 at the Grove of Anaheim in Anaheim.
