Last chance for Lil Wayne, Nine Inch Nails tickets 

The summer is winding down for the hiatus-prepped industrial band Nine Inch Nails and acclaimed rapper Lil Wayne. Both are among the major acts with tours winding down during the week ending September 7, as compiled by TicketNews.

Industrial rock’s leading man Trent Reznor is in line for his final four performances with his trailblazing band, Nine Inch Nails. The rock group is booked for a four-night run in Los Angeles from September 2 at the Hollywood Palladium through September 6 at EchoPlex, after which an indefinite hiatus looms large. Reznor has pledged to continue his recording career, but for fans eager to see him perform live — for what could be the last time — these are “can’t miss” events.

Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne is hosting the final dates of his summer-long America’s Most Wanted Music Festival Tour over the course of this week, supported by the likes of Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy and newcomer Drake. The tour’s next stop is September 1 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN, with the last date of the run set for September 6 at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, FL.

The summer calendar closes this week for Debbie Harry’s new wave juggernaut Blondie, which takes the stage for its final bow of the season on September 1 at Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, AZ. After a series of health-related cancellations earlier this year, Depeche Mode is closing its stint in the U.S. on September 5 at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, FL. Meanwhile, the party is almost over for Steely Dan, as the duo wraps its Rent Party ’09 Tour with a final multiple-night engagement on September 1, 3 and 4 at Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL, and a tour-end show on September 5 at Sound Board Theater in Detroit, MI.

The pop-punk community celebrates a milestone this week with the Warped Tour: 15th Anniversary Show on September 6 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA. The concert includes performances by Blink-182, 3OH!3 and Katy Perry and will be released in select theaters in movie-form on September 17. On the other end of the spectrum, Motley Crue’s vanity festival CrueFest 2 completes its second summer on the road with events lined up through September 5 at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien Center, NY.

For some high-octane entertainment, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series: Pep Boys Auto 500 will roll into Hampton, GA, this Labor Day weekend. The race hits the pavement at Atlanta Motor Speedway, just outside the city limits, on September 6. This year’s U.S. Open Tennis Championship is also running through Labor Day weekend, with Sessions 3-16 scheduled from September 1-7 at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Corona, NY.
