Tickets for several upcoming concerts from John Mayer as well as tickets for upcoming NCAA basketball games are on sale throughout the weekend ending November 30 as compiled by TicketNews.
This weekend’s onsales are less busy than past weeks in light of the Thanksgiving holiday, but there are still several concerts, theater, and sporting event ticket onsales to take note of. First up are tickets to several upcoming concerts from singer John Mayer. The popular singer has fans of every age, and his tour will be stopping in several Canadian cities including Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton. Tickets for these tour dates go on sale Saturday morning. Also on sale Saturday morning are tickets to see “30 Rock” star Tracy Morgan perform stand-up in Atlantic City. Morgan, who has received accolades for his television work has recently been getting headlines for his raunchy stand-up set at Carnegie Hall in New York City. It is unknown whether this latest press dust up with help or hurt his ticket sales.
Monday’s onsales include tickets to an upcoming performance by AC/DC in Las Vegas. This concert is a rescheduled concert from an earlier canceled stop on the band’s national tour. Also among the Monday onsales are tickets to catch U2 in concert in the Montreal Hippodrome in Canada. The Irish band’s stadium and arena tour is expected to continue to sell strongly. R&B crooner Ne-Yo also has a concert on sale Monday. The popular singer will be performing at the Palms Hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Rounding out the weekend’s hot concerts are tickets to catch rockers Switchfoot on their upcoming tour. Among the stops on sale today are concerts in Vancouver, Toronto, and Calgary.
This weekend’s onsales also includes tickets to two NCAA basketball programs’ home games. Both the St. John’s Red Storm and University of Miami Hurricanes have tickets on sale today for several of their upcoming home games. The Hurricanes play in Miami, while St. John’s plays in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Also on sale today are tickets to several upcoming Indiana Pacers games. Stand-up comedian and television star Jerry Seinfeld has tickets on sale today for his upcoming performance at the Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. Finally, two shows from Canadian performance and acrobatic troupe Cirque du Soleil have tickets among the Monday onsales. Alegria has performances in Toronto, Omaha, and Chicago on sale, while Illumination has tickets for a stop in New York state on sale. The Cirque du Soleil brand is popular and tends to have strong sales.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
