With a new album tentatively slated for summer release, A-list rapper 50 Cent has announced his plans for a late spring tour of U.S. clubs and theaters.

The 18-market Invitation Tour begins May 28 at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, OH, and concludes a month later on June 25 at the House of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ.

The rapper’s schedule also calls for gig stops on May 30 at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, IL; June 4 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA; June 22 at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY; and June 24 at the House of Blues in Boston, MA.

Tickets for the tour’s Cleveland, Detroit and Los Angeles dates went on sale earlier this month. Public onsales pick up Saturday, April 24, in Denver and Chicago. Face values vary depending on the market, but most tickets fall within the $30 to $80 range, with a couple exceptions.

Monica, Soulja Boy Tell’Em and Lloyd Banks will each provide support on select dates of the tour. More tour and ticketing details are available on 50 Cent’s official Web site.

While the upcoming tour will call upon material from 2009’s “Before I Self Destruct,” as well as his earlier catalogue, 50 is also scheduled to drop some newer material soon — an effort called “Black Magic.”

In an early April interview with MTV News, the rapper and producer said, “I gave myself a goal to try and put it out by the end of the summer, so I’ll work that hard on the actual project. If I don’t feel it’s ready by the end of the summer, I’ll just jeep it.”
