Bon Jovi tour adds concerts in Pittsburgh, Chicago, New York City
Due to high demand, veteran rock band Bon Jovi unveiled additional concerts in several U.S. and Canadian markets for its previously announced Live 2011 Tour.
In the States, three cities will now host the rock group for newly extended stands. Bon Jovi will take the stage February 11-12 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA, and March 8-9 at the United Center in Chicago, IL. Meanwhile in New York, NY, the original February 24-25 stand at Madison Square Garden will be followed with a later March 5 return to the venue.
A couple concerts have also been added north of the border in Canadian markets. Two-night spreads are now confirmed for February 14-15 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON, and February 18-19 at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC.
Public ticket sales for many dates on the Live 2011 Tour schedule began last week on November 12. According to press from the band, high demand in select cities led to same-day unveiling and onsales for the new concert dates, with the exception of the March 5 show in New York City, which went on sale today, November 15.
Bon Jovi’s official Web site is offering a limited number of presale tickets for each tour market. While allotments have already sold out for most of the previously announced show dates, presales are still on-going for the newly added concerts.
Exact ticket prices vary depending on the market and venue. However, in most cities, prices start at or just under the $20 mark and extend upwards of $150, according to Ticketmaster.com listings. At Madison Square Garden, the top face value is $304.50 for floor, pit and loge seating.
The Live 2011 Tour is an extension of Bon Jovi’s highly successful Circle Tour, which spanned most of 2010 and was nominated for the two top titles at this year’s Billboard Touring Awards — “Top Tour” and “Top Draw” — though both categories ultimately were claimed by U2’s 360° Tour.
