According to the team and the New York Daily News, asbestos debris fell from the ceiling onto the court, and MSG officials are working with city and private inspectors and crews to evaluate and deal with the situation. MSG workers were reportedly cleaning debris following the November 1 New York Rangers game when the accident occurred. No injuries were reported. A make up date for the Magic game has not yet been announced, and whether the mishap will affect the status of upcoming events at MSG is not yet known.
