Though he is carrying about $50,000 in credit card debt to finance his ticket purchases, Los Angeles-area ticket broker Michael Abedor remains upbeat about his business, but he faces some tough realities, according to the Los Angeles Times. Abedor started his home-based ticket broker business in 2010 after being laid off as an entertainment business media supervisor, and he specializes in reselling Los Angeles Dodgers and Kings tickets, among others. He used credit cards to purchase season tickets, a move that West Los Angeles certified financial planner Alfred McIntosh believes could help lead Abedor and his wife Maria Magallanes into serious financial trouble. McIntosh recommends Abedor find an experienced broker to mentor him, hire a bookkeeper to help with his finances and set up his business as an S Corporation or LLC.
