Four more concerts have been confirmed for Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band‘s fast-approaching 2011 tour. The recent additions have widely expanded the tour’s earlier announced routing, which hit only three states.
Seger’s new concerts are set for April 12 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON; April 16 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ; April 19 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA; and April 21 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. The tour opens March 26 in Toledo, OH.
Before the revelation of the four new dates, all previously revealed Seger concerts have remained within a fairly tight radius: Ohio, Seger’s native Michigan, and New York. Those states, along with Missouri and Massachusetts, were inexplicably singled-out in an early promotional video released by Seger’s camp for the 2011 tour.
Presales for the four shows start this Thursday, February 24, only remaining open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST). Public onsales begin later in the week on Saturday, February 26, at 10 a.m. (EST). Ticket face prices have been set at C$94 in Toronto, $85 in Atlantic City, $71 in Atlanta, and $72.50 in Nashville, according to Ticketmaster.com.
Of Seger’s previously announced shows, all but the Cincinnati and Cleveland dates have sold-out. A list of onsales (and sell-outs) thus far is available on Seger’s official Web site.
The 2011 outing will be the first for Seger and The Silver Bullet Band since their 2006-2007 Face the Promise Tour. The group is also reportedly working on their first record in about five years, though a title and release date have not been confirmed.
