Operatic-pop vocal group Il Divo has outlined a 2012 tour itinerary that will keep it on the road in North America for three full months.
The 2012 venture kicks off May 18 at The Colosseum in Windsor, ON. From there, the quartet will perform more than 40 concerts across Canada and the United States, before wrapping its trek on August 19 at the Wells Fargo Theatre in Denver, CO.
Five markets are slated to host Il Divo for two consecutive nights. Those stands are scheduled for May 29-30 at the Beacon Theatre in New York, NY; June 15-16 at Carol Morsani Hall in Tampa, FL; July 13-14 at The Colosseum in Las Vegas, NV; July 20-21 at the San Jose Civic in San Jose, CA; and August 3-4 at the Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, IL.
Initial public onsales open November 18 in select U.S. and Canadian markets, according to Ticketmaster.com listings. Nationally, ticket prices are in the general range of $50 to $130, though exact prices vary slightly in each city. North of the border, pre-fee ticket prices run from CA$49.50 to CA$125.
The quartet features Swiss tenor Urs Bühler and American tenor David Miller, Spanish baritone Carols Marin, and French pop singer Sébastien Izambard. According to Il Divo’s official Web site, the group will visit six continents on its 2012 tour.
The New Year venture launches in early February, when the operatic pop singers will perform a string of shows in South Africa. From there, they’ll move on to Australia, mainland Europe and the UK before setting off across the Atlantic for North America.
