After announcing new dates to their I’m With You Tour earlier this week, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have tickets for those shows on sale throughout the weekend ending December 12, as compiled by TicketNews.
One of the most successful rock acts of the last 25 years, the Peppers have sold over 70 million albums worldwide throughout the course of their career to go along with the seven Grammy Awards the band has won.
Adding to that list of accomplishments, it was announced on December 7 that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2012. Concerts in Dallas, Orlando, Tampa, New Orleans, and Oklahoma City are on sale throughout the weekend.
Also among the weekend onsales are tickets to upcoming concerts from music legend Neil Diamond. Having sold over 115 million records worldwide throughout his over 50 year long career, Diamond continues to release new music, recently releasing a greatest hits album. Diamond was also among those selected to receive this year’s prestigious Kennedy Centers Honor, given to those who have gifted American culture through the arts. Diamond has concerts in Milwaukee, Toronto, and Vancouver on sale throughout the weekend.
Continuing this weekend’s onsales are tickets to several upcoming concert dates to the Brothers of the Sun tour from Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw. Two of country music’s best-selling artists, McGraw and Chesney have upcoming concert dates in Denver, Atlanta, and Nashville this weekend.
Lady Antebellum, one of the most successful bands of the last three years, also has tickets on sale throughout the weekend. The group has succeeded in transitioning from topping the country charts to hitting the top of the Billboard Hot 200. Upcoming concerts in the smaller markets of Des Moines, Jacksonville, and Fresno are on sale throughout the weekend.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
