Red Hot Chili Peppers have confirmed additional dates for the U.S. leg of their on-going I’m With You Tour.
The band has revealed 10 new dates for 2012, including events on February 4 at New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, LA, and March 8 at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. RHCP’s itinerary now runs from January 20 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Orlando, FL, through March 16 at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock, AR.
Public onsales begin December 10 in all of the newly announced tour markets, except Dallas, where onsales start early on December 9.
Most markets on the RHCP tour have ticket prices set in the $39 to $59 range, though face values are lower in some cities ($35 to $55 in Oklahoma City) and higher in others ($42.50 to $62.50 in Dallas).
Two additional dates in the Chili Peppers’ native California are expected to be confirmed in the near future. Listings temporarily appeared on Ticketmaster.com for both dates — February 26 in Los Angeles and February 29 in San Diego — but later were pulled from the site. The temporary listings revealed December 17 onsale dates.
The 2012 I’m With You Tour marks the funk rockers’ first full-length U.S. outing since the 2006-2007 Stadium Arcadium Tour.
The long stretch between tours has spurred strong ticket sales in some markets. According to RHCP’s official Web site, tickets have already sold out on the primary market in Duluth, GA. The city was included in the initial U.S. tour announcement, and onsales started there December 3.
The Chili Peppers launched the I’m With You Tour in South America earlier this year. The band is presently touring Europe, where concerts are largely sold out through the December 17 closer in Madrid, Spain.
