Toronto-based solutions provider AudienceView Ticketing announced today, January 17, the appointment of Mark Fowlie as its president and COO.
In the newly created position, Fowlie will report to company co-founder, chairperson and CEO Kevin Kimsa. Fowlie most recently served as the CEO of information management solutions company El Fresko Technologies.
“AudienceView is moving through a very intense growth period, in a rapidly changing marketplace,” Fowlie said in today’s statement. “Having the opportunity to join this management team, and contribute energy towards AudienceView’s strategic objectives in this global market, is very exciting.”
The growth referenced by Fowlie includes a 50 percent year-over-year revenue increase in 2011 and the signing of 38 new clients. The company — a white-label ticketing and fundraising solutions provider — now has a client list exceeding 170 organizations with a reach of more than 550 venues.
Over the past year, the company signed new deals with the City Council of Dundee in Scotland, as well as with Foxtix in Australia, among others. Meanwhile, renewed or extended contracts included those with The Football Association and Wembley Stadium, and the University of Minnesota.
To keep up with the business’ growth, AudienceView increased its staffing by 35 percent over the past year. Fowlie is the latest part of that organizational boom.

Kimsa co-founded AudienceView in 2002. Kimsa briefly served as AudienceView’s president and COO during industry executive Fred Rosen’s stint with the company in 2007-2008. It is unclear for how long the position was vacant since that time.
AudienceView did not immediately return a request for comment.
