Viagogo, Europe’s largest online resale ticket marketplace, announced two new partnerships this past week, collaborations with the Spanish Olympic Committee and Aristeia Corporate Hospitality, a leading European hospitality provider. When asked about Viagogo’s collaboration with the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), director Edward Parkinson said, “Becoming a part of the Olympic movement in Spain is a big step for our business.”
Viagogo has already established itself in the Spanish market by selling tickets to popular concerts, sporting events, and theatre. The company hopes their support of the Spanish Olympic Committee can only strengthen a growing relationship with Spanish fans of live sports and entertainment.
By partnering up with Aristeia Corporate Hospitality, a company that specializes in creating prestigious programs for corporations and individuals around major sporting events, Viagogo will cement their “commitment in providing consumers with greater access to the best in live entertainment,” said Edward Parkinson.
The web shops powered by Viagogo will allow Aristeia to provide a safe and secure platform for its customers and clients to access tickets for the most popular events in entertainment. This partnership came at the perfect time with the world already counting down until top athletes represent their countries in the summer Olympics. To date thirteen national Olympic committees have appointed Aristeia as an official ticket reseller for the 2012 London Olympic Games set to begin July 27, 2012.
Other notable company partnerships include Madonna, Chelsea FC and Bayern Munich football clubs, and in tennis Roland-Garros and the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. Viagogo launched in 2006, since then it has become the market leader in its sector with local language websites in over 26 countries.
