Country music star Carrie Underwood has come a long way since winning season four of American Idol back in 2005. She has gone on to sell more than 14 million albums worldwide, winning five Grammy Awards, and a handful of CMAs and ACMs, while also becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry — Carrie Underwood has it all. This fall, Underwood will be ready to begin her latest tour, The Blown Away Tour, named for her latest album which was released on May 1.

Early reports from Billboard.biz of the album projected the album would track to sell between 275,000 and 300,000 copies in its debut week. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Blown Away came up short on those early predictions — however, with more than 267,000 albums sold it debuted atop Billboard‘s Top Country Albums chart and the all-genre Billboard 200.

Gary Overton, the chairman and CEO of Sony Music Nashville, said of the whole album in a statement to USA Today, “several radio programmers who have heard the album believe that there are other songs that will be hits at country and pop radio.”

Carrie Underwood’s most recent singles from this album include “Good Girl” and “Blown Away.” “Good Girl” has recently reached the top 10 of USA Today‘s country music airplay chart in just eight weeks and has also crossed over to the Hot AC, or adult contemporary, format,” as stated in USA Today.
