Tickets to upcoming concerts from The Who are among the onsales for the weekend ending July 30, as compiled by TicketNews®.
On July 18, The Who announced that they would be hitting the road on a tour of the band’s 1978 rock opera album “Quadrophenia.” The band, led by original members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, will be performing the album in its entirety at each concert. Dates on sale Friday, July 27, include shows in Orlando, FL; Pittsburgh, PA; Brooklyn, NY; Toronto, ON; Philadelphia, PA; New York City, NY; and Detroit, MI.
Also among the weekend’s concert onsales are tickets to upcoming tour dates from Bob Dylan. The music legend will be touring alongside Mark Knopfler. Concert dates on sale this weekend include stops in Edmonton, AB; Calgary, AB; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Vancouver, BC; and Berkley, CA.
Wrapping up this weekend’s concert onsales are tickets to upcoming shows from Alan Jackson. The country superstar will be touring in promotion of his most recent album, “Thirty Miles West.” Upcoming concerts on sale this weekend include stops in Springfield, IL and Tuscaloosa, AL.
Finally, tickets go on sale this weekend for three NFL teams’ upcoming 2012-13 home football seasons. The Dallas Cowboys have tickets for their home season, as well as each home game’s “Party Pass,” on sale Friday. The Cowboys will be looking to improve on their 2011-12 campaign, which saw the team fail to make the playoffs.
Also on sale Friday are tickets to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ upcoming season. The Bucs suffered a disappointing 2011-12, failing to make the playoffs and ending the season on a 10-game losing streak. Several moves have been made in the offseason to improve their prospects for the upcoming season.
Rounding out the NFL onsales are tickets to the Atlanta Falcon’s 2012-13 home season. The Falcons had a strong 2011-12 season, making the playoffs as a wild card. The team will be looking to continue improving on their recent success.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
