Shania Twain, one of the world’s best-selling female country singers, will open her two-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV, on December 1, 2012. The country music superstar will debut in Vegas with a larger than life show, called “Shania: Still The One.”

She will be the first ever country music resident headliner at the Colosseum. She will be among a rotating lineup, which includes Elton John, Celine Dion, and Rod Stewart.
Her first run will last until December 15. Tickets for this first run are selling quickly. Due to high demand 14 additional performances were added to the March-April 2013 shows back in June of 2012. Tickets to “Shania: Still The One” in its second run in March are available to fans. As noted on the LasVegasSun.com on October 22, 2012 the box office reports, “that’s doing very well, too, for being so far out.”

Shania Twain took a seven year hiatus, and for a while thought she would not perform or record again after she lost her voice from a disorder called Dysphonia and went through a tough divorce. She is back with a big comeback and she says her voice is “Stronger today than ever,” also noted on LasVegasSun.com.

Shania hasn’t released a new album since 2002, but her four studio albums have achieved great success. She has sold over 75 million albums around the world and is a five-time Grammy Award winner. She has also been working on a new album. During her hiatus she wrote a memoir which is climbing the New York Times Best Sellers list.

Shania Twain is the show’s Creator and Executive Producer. “Shania: Still The One” is presented by AEG Live and directed by Raj Kapoor. Fans anticipate a show which will be filled with music, incredible visuals, fashion, and some unexpected surprises.

Raj Kapoor said, “Shania wants her fans to share her spirit and passion in 4D, and this show will capture the essence, soul and inspirations of Shania and her timeless music and lyrics brought to life with extraordinary beauty and powerfully intense visuals,” in a press release on ShaniaInVegas.com.

President and co-CEO of AEG Live/Concerts West said this about Raj Kapoor: “He is a creative phenomenon. The show will have many of his unique special effects. He is highly regarded as the best video-effects guy in the EDM world.”

The Colosseum at Caesars Palace was recognized as Billboard magazine’s ‘Venue of the Decade: 2000-2009’ under the category of venues with 5,000 seats or less. The award was decided by gross sales compiled from box office scores throughout the decade.

Also in the press release on ShaniaInVegas.com, Shania Twain said: “My first step in creating the show was writing out the song list, building my ideas from there. I wanted to keep the hits at the heart of it all while weaving elements of surprise throughout the experience. My vision is to bring the atmosphere of each song alive through multi-dimension sensory and share the journey of my life and career with the audience from a unique perspective. The Colosseum theatre is heaven for an artist and the opportunity to collaborate with such a brilliant team is making my dream show a reality.”
